Hello, my name is Stephanie, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in NYC. I received a Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College in 2014. I have experience with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, interpersonal issues, marital issues, sexual struggles, and eating disorders. I have also worked with trauma survivors, including survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, sexual abuse/intimate partner violence, and human trafficking. For 4 years I worked in an adult mental health clinic with clients facing a variety of mental health concerns and I have had training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

In college, I was saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Since then God has given me a desire to help others grow in their faith through biblical counseling. It is a type of counseling that uses the bible to instruct, guide and comfort individuals who are suffering from life’s trials and/or struggling under the weight of personal sin. I believe that the divine power of God gives us everything we need for life and Godliness and that His inspired Word is able to help us in all areas of life. I have been a recipient of Biblical counseling and so I know firsthand how life changing it can be. Having said that, I became a certified Biblical Counselor myself through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in 2019. I also spent two years in Mexico with a missionary training program y hablo Español.

I commend you for making the decision to seek counseling and address the difficult circumstances that you are facing. I can’t promise it will be easy, but I know that God promises in His Word to help carry our burdens and give us the ability to live a life holy and pleasing to Him. I’ll be happy to walk that journey with you, by giving hope, compassion, encouragement and guidance based on my training and experience.
